The Nurtured Nest – A Mothering Arts Circle
A nurturing community for mothers and babies. A place to make new friends, share wisdom, learn together and nourish our babies senses. Our weekly circles will help mothers take time for themselves, to better care for their families.
We warmly welcome mothers in the first year postpartum with their babies to join us on our first Mothering Arts circle. Each week we will focus on a different art of motherhood, learning how to create a nurturing practice of self-care, and receiving wisdom from local women and each other. We learn gentle games and songs to nourish the baby’s senses and connect in a joyous way. The Nurtured Nest inspires a balance of caring for ourselves as mothers as well as our babies. Together we create a community of support and love.
This 6 week pilot session will meet Tuesday November 10th at 10-11.30am and continue to
meet weekly until December 15th. We will also invite wise women in our community that are experts in their vocations who will teach and support you as you embrace your unique art of mothering.
Our weekly themes will be:
Birth blessings/opening sharing
The loving touch – wise woman Patricia from Infant Massage Oklahoma
Nutrition – wise woman Lydia from Healing Roots OKC
Nurturing in Nature – wise woman Mae from Outdoorsmom.com
Rest and Relaxtion – wise woman Jennifer (Mamaste yoga certified)
Healthy home rhythms/closing sharing
Each session will close with nourishing tea and snacks and a time to connect further with the group.
Hosted by LifeWays teacher in training and mother, Emma Yeung.
We are also very blessed to have Nanny Herr from HERR Projects to bring her love, warmth and wisdom to the group most weeks.
This will be a wonderful circle, a time to connect with yourself, your baby and others around you. A place where all moms are encouraged and supported, loved and nurtured. We look forward to building a wonderful community with you.

Emma Yeung is a mother to two sweet children and is expecting baby number three in January. She grew up in a small seaside town in England but now lives in Oklahoma City with her supportive husband and children. Emma is currently taking her LifeWays training and hopes to open her own in home preschool in the coming future. She is passionate about cooking, nutrition and child care. Emma hopes to grow a Waldorf inspired community in Oklahoma and is excited about offering Mothering circles to encourage other moms to come together and support one another.
