What Mamas Are Saying

jay and atiraMothering Arts with Kerry was an absolute delightful experience for Atira and I for the fall series.  As a new momma it was sacred to be cared for by so many wonderful women and friends in my community. Each week being offered a rich gift of nourishment for my soul, support on this journey of motherhood, and a wonderful space for Atira to be with other sweet and enchanting children who warmed my heart.

The diversity of wisdom in the room has given me many more tools as a momma, as well as connecting on a deep level with the other Mommas there. I feel really lucky to have shared the journey and opened my heart with these strong women. Sharing laughter and tears, authentic deep profound moments of vulnerability as well as strength. We went through it all. And all the while Kerry held the space beautifully together with grandma Daphne.

I deeply value everything Kerry is offering our community, this is her passion, her life's work, and if any of you wish to open your heart and be supported deeply, then Mothering Arts would delight your soul!!

With heart, Jayantii & Atira

IMG_7240Typically, joining social groups brings up anxiety and insecurities for me and it is easy to lapse into telling the "Unworthiness" story.  Entering Mothering Arts group was a bit of a stretch outside my comfort zone but I am so glad I did it! Kerry's support and open heart have given me the strength and inspiration to be more open to others.  Kerry has ignited a desire inside me to be a better role model for my daughters.  And she has patiently and consistently reminded me of the simple truth that I am Worthy.  All Mamas are worthy of Love, Compassion, Worthiness and Sisterhood.  This is what Mothering Arts offers. There is incredible value in taking time to acknowledge that Motherhood is MAGIC. I am inspired to be different, to be better, to take time to nurture myself and retell my story as an inspired and happier Mother. Kerry and the group helped me redefine my path and rethink my inner monologue.

My two young children can only benefit from this renewed sense of purpose and appreciation for Self. There really is no greater gift. Thank you Kerry for having the courage to follow your Bliss and for inviting me to participate!"

a6   I wish every new mom could have the benefit of Mothering Arts in her first postpartum year. Kerry's deep compassion and sincere enthusiasm are rare and wonderful gifts that she brings to every circle. I left at the end of the session with lovely new friends, and so much more; practical tools for mom life, relationships, and home, and a heart so full from having been truly heard and understood in this wild new chapter in my life. Attending Mothering Arts was the biggest act of self-love I undertook after my baby was born and I cannot recommend it highly enough! ~Lauren

"Each Mothering Arts Circle is such a soulful and heartening experience of inspiration, practical advice, adylannd nourishment on all levels.  A sense of Community is deepened in many ways. It's an honor to witness and fall in love with the village babies as they grow!  And the sense of solidarity and sisterhood with other mothers deepens through shared song, laughter, and tears.  I feel more connected to the wider community through the guest speakers and enriched by their wisdom and perspective.  Kerry is a force of nature; all of her gifts are brought to bear as she supports mammas and babies, and her "femifesting" her dream is beautiful and inspiring to behold and be a part of.  Grandma Daphne is so warm, encouraging and helpful and inspiring, too.  My son brightens up to the songs we now sing daily and really seemed to enjoy playful interactions with his fellow village nestlings.  If you're contemplating joining, I heartily encourage you. This sort of special gathering is a real gift to your inner artist as a Mother, and supporting it through your participation is how we collectively create the world we want to see!"

With love, Mamma Kai and ever-growing Dylan

I cannot tell you how much I appreciated going to your class as a new mother.  I took so much away from the class, including self care, care for my little one, and amazing friendships!  There is nothing like getting to share your mothering experience with others going through similar things.  I am eternally grateful! I highly recommend this class to any new mamas!!  Thanks again. ~Kristine Norton & Elliott

2126362"Being new to the area, Mothering Arts provided a beautiful way for me to connect with other mamas and babes and to share in the unfolding experience of motherhood. As a new mom it's so easy to feel isolated. Mothering Arts offered me a space where my baby and I could exhale, share stories and be supported. Kerry is an excellent facilitator.  I feel her warmth from  her smile all the way to the nourishing tea and snacks she and Grandma Daphne serve each week. I learned so much from them and from each wise woman who came to share her knowledge.  At the end of this Fall's session, I feel a stronger bond of community with other local mothers and as well as a stronger sense of confidence being equipped with new tools to help me care for myself and my son. Mothering Arts is a gift to West County!"---Juliann and Leo

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the vision Kerry is creating. Her Mothering Arts class provided me with the mama community I was craving and needed. It supported me in developing and trusting my intuition and was extremely empowering in my new role of mother. Kerry creates a safe space to learn, share, grow, connect, and be nurtured through inviting wise women to come provide arts, healing, talks, food, and activities. I especially appreciated the environment of the village model with an auntie and grandmother there to help us. We were supported in taking care of ourselves and our babies during class. Diverse perspectives on mothering and nurturing were welcomed. It became the highlight of my week and the best spent money in my first year of motherhood. The other woman in the group are now my friends and support system in mothering as we continue to meet and stay connected with toddlers who have grown together. I highly recommend this experience. With gratitude, Vanessa Eyen & Sage

I can't say enough good stuff about this class! But I'll try! 😉 First, there is the learning of fun songs, new nourishing treats, simple yet elegant crafts...Second, a routine that you develop with your little one, I found that I reallstormyy valued this time together...Third, the community of mamas and the support from each other, not to mention our lovely teachers...I got to ask a talented herbalist questions, massage my infant with lovely oils, watch my baby enjoy songs that were new to her, eat nourishing snacks and drink tea with fellow mamas. And that was just the first few weeks! Vanessa Ville & Storm

"My little one and I loved Mothering Arts! Each week was a wellspring of knowledge, support, joy, and nourishment (physically and spiritually). There was a deep sense of community that developed for me with the other mamas and babies, and for that I am so grateful. Mothering Arts brings a sense of respect and reverence to motherhood, that many mamas need and miss in their mothering experience." ~Brooke Larsen, mama to Hunter

Mothering Arts is an amazing way to share time with other moms, babies and wonderful women in the community. Kerry brings a wonderful, warm energy to leading the group and is ever ready to share a thought, a song, a game or a kind word. It's a respite in the craziness of the first year post-partum and Alena and I have had a wonderful time coming.  ~Linda and Alena
